We’re excited to announce that a US-based robotics startup has shared a job opportunities with us for various Computer Vision & 3D Geometry Engineer roles.

What you'll do

  • Build robots from the ground up from version 0 to execute a range of construction tasks.
  • Develop and tune robot control loops (PID/MPC), trajectory planning, actuator interfaces, and real‑time safety.
  • Build ROS2 nodes/launch/diagnostics; integrate cameras/IMUs/LiDAR and telemetry.
  • Calibrate and time-sync multi‑sensor pipelines to precise 3D outputs.
  • Instrument, log, and debug in lab and field; raise reliability week over week.

Must have

  • ROS 2 with C++ and/or Python; Linux and Git fluency
  • Speed then rigor: prototype quickly to learn, then harden to field‑grade—own the path from scrappy v0 to reliable v1+ (reliability, safety, serviceability)
  • Common buses and tooling (CAN, UART, I2C; logging/visualization)
  • Calibration/time sync fundamentals and methodical testing
  • TF2 and coordinate transforms: intimate understanding of frames, poses, rotations, positions and angles; able to debug transform trees
  • Linear algebra and 3D geometry: if not already strong, must become strong within 3 months

Nice to have

  • SLAM/VO, depth fusion, and on‑edge acceleration (Jetson/NPU)
  • Experience with production‑level computer vision pipelines (design, deployment, monitoring, reliability)

What success looks like

  • Robust 3D outputs with defensible metrics
  • Productionized ROS2 perception nodes with clear interfaces and diagnostics
